Heartland Community Foundation invests in programs that improve educational outcomes from early childhood through postsecondary completion, with a focus on closing achievement gaps and expanding access for underserved students.

Our Strategy

We support a continuum of educational programming including early literacy, STEM education, college and career readiness, mentoring, and scholarship opportunities. We also invest in innovative approaches that engage families, strengthen schools, and prepare young people for the workforce of the future.

Recent Investments

  • $2.1 million in scholarships awarded to 280 students
  • $850,000 to early childhood literacy programs reaching 1,500 children
